FAQs
Learning towers and toddler towers: what to check before you buy
What is a learning tower?
A learning tower (you might also hear toddler tower, kitchen helper or standing tower) lifts your little one up to bench height and puts a frame around them. That means they can wash, stir and help with snacks beside you, instead of watching from the floor. For the full picture, read our guide to choosing a learning tower in Australia.
Will it suit my kitchen bench?
The standard kitchen bench in Australia is about 900 mm high, though real kitchens run anywhere from 850 to 1000 mm. Our standing platform sits 40 cm from the floor and doesn't adjust, so grab a tape measure and check your bench first. The climbing step can be moved between three positions.
What age is it for, and how much weight does it hold?
Ours is made for ages 1 to 5, the range printed on the safety label that comes with every tower, and it's rated to a 75 kg maximum load. Use it with an adult close by and actively supervising, and see our Care & Safety tips for setting up the space. Looking for ideas? Here are kitchen jobs by age.
Has it been safety tested?
Yes. Eurofins independently tested it against the toy safety standards used in Australia and New Zealand (AS/NZS ISO 8124), covering physical and mechanical hazards, flammability and migration of certain elements. It passed all three.
What's new in the 2026 edition?
A twist-to-lock safety rail, anti-slip pads for tiles, timber and polished floors, and wider, stronger anti-tip feet.
Does it fold?
No. Instead, the frame turns over into a table and chair, so it keeps earning its spot once the cooking's done. It also comes with a chalkboard. Plan a spot for it first: it needs a 40 × 36 cm patch of floor and stands 86 cm tall to the tips of the ears. Here's what 3-in-1 really means.
Bunny or Fox?
Same tower, two designs. The size, features and test report are the same, so your choice comes down to the look your family loves. Pick yours from the range above.
Learning tower or step stool?
They suit different stages rather than being a cheaper and a dearer version of the same thing. A tower gives a younger toddler a frame to stand in for longer jobs at the bench. Our two-step stool suits an older child who wants a quick boost at the basin or the toilet. Here's how to choose a toddler step stool.
